Subsidised housing 26 special regime, Umbrete
BACKGROUND The Public Land Company of Andalusia promotes since 2000, aimed at architects under 35 years, the Architecture Competition for Young Architects in Andalusia, under the symbol J5; this competition is held biennially and raises the need to advance innovative strategies and its relevance to the criteria of sustainability and respect for the environment, considering the impact of the construction of a building in the Middle occurs from the manufacture of materials to the management of waste generated by its disappearance eventually. The implementation of these strategies integrated into the reality edificatoria the three vertices of the triangle of sustainability (environmental protection / health, social acceptance and economic viability) and incorporates concepts such as flexibility, habitability, accessibility, durability, eco-efficiency, ecological footprint ... The proposal submitted by architects Simone Solinas Verd Gallego and Gabriel was awarded first prize in the 2002 call of that competition in the field of Umbrete, Sevilla, going to draft the project and direct the work. DESCRIPTION OF SOLAR The project is located in the north of the town of Umbrete, in an area where the urban built and emptiness are finished. The land owned by the Junta de Andalucía is part of a series in which he planned to accommodate 99 homes around the fairgrounds, which would develop in various competitions. The area bounded on the north by the fairgrounds, the South with the Sisters of Charity Street, east of the alley Peralta and West with a cul than 16 m in length. The plot has a slope of 1% being the far east (level +121.74 m) to about 80 cm below the extreme west (+122.53 m elevation). JUSTIFICATION OF THE SOLUTION ADOPTED The project is facing as a search for a prototype of social housing raising the sequence of full and empty as a junction with examples of traditional domestic architecture Andalusian. The housing design has attended at all times to the more rational and constructive economy, so ensuring quality is achieved optimize the constructive-efficiency energy economy relationship. Sustainability is understood from the perspective of the architecture and functionality of spaces using awnings, trees, patios, light and shadow for climate control. It is proposed to occupy the available surface with a series of volumes, solids and voids, which are interrelated forming and occupying the entire plot. It is intended from the start to search the whole image of unity, almost a block of PB + 1 and that is not understood as a sum of townhouses one after another. With a width of 6 meters plot (the most common in social townhouses in recent years in Andalusia) you opt for a home where nearly all domestic program turns inward. We studied housing type (A) is repeated until reaching the limits of the plot where, in the corners, is modified to adapt to the ways of the solar (types B, C and D). In homes has found a high degree of privacy, opening most inland areas and providing the facades of large gaps where the transition between interior and exterior occurs. From the street you access to homes through a covered space leading to a first sun sheltered patio with an awning (or candle) where the entrance to the interior and lounge. The latter separates and defines a second private courtyard and inner courtyard of the lemon. These courtyards are proposed as the natural expansion into the intimate exterior of the house by way of traditional Andalusian house. The lighting and ventilation of the room it is mainly done through the back porch of the house, additionally also opens onto the first courtyard entrance (whose views are screened from the outside through a lattice). This sequence of spaces that are juxtaposed and overlap with one another are also seeking for inside the house. The dining room is set up as the main part of the house, not only the backbone indoors but also outside, everything revolves around him. The double height dining room and staircase brought into communication and relating all rooms of the house. Top floor terrace between the two courts have allowed the home of an expansion zone where solarium or potential new bedroom are always concealed exterior views, without altering the look of the house from the street. These successions of empty and full, indoor and outdoor spaces that surround turn are surrounded and can play with volumes, lights and shadows that glide on the walls. The lounge has a double orientation, always opening one side to the south, and cross ventilation favored by the arrangement of the courtyards. We have chosen a structure of reinforced concrete frames and Forged way of foundation concrete slab considering this the most economical solution for this type of housing.
