ROMERO & VALLEJO IS an architecture, interior design and project manager studio.
We specialise in undertaking comprehensive projects, from the creation of the concept to the final product. That allowa us to undertake all the aspects of a project from beginning to end, eliminating any obstacle that may exist between the different design disciplines.
In architecture and interior design projects, we work on the technical approach and conception, as well as on their final realisation, while also focussing on the landscaping and graphic elements applied to the spaces. By bringing all these aspects together, we can provide the level of coherency that we want in conveying a project and ensure its financial viability by managing the planning process from the very beginning, which includes controlling costs, completion deadlines and procurement.
As regards creative direction and brand identity, we advise companies on style identification and image building. That ranges from the creation of communication resources, branding, website, photos and catalogues, etc., to the design of spaces, such as shops and stands.
In both cases, we design made-to-measure furniture and equipment, which we produce in collaboration with an established network of artisans, professionals and companies. This has naturally allowed us to focus on both the product design and the creative direction of collections for companies in the sector of contemporary design.
At Romero & Vallejo, founded by the architects Sara Romero and Mariano Vallejo, our multidiscipline team, comprising architects, designers, engineers, lawyers and economists, work on an international level.
Sara Romero and Mariano Vallejo worked at prestigious architecture firms before launching their own studio in 2004 in Toledo. They are senior architects, designers and project managers. Their work has received several architecture and design awards, as well as acknowledgement in the specialised press: Dezeen, ArchDaily, Design Milk, Dis up, Plataforma de Arquitectura, AD, Neo2, Experimenta, Yooko and Arquitectura y Diseño.
One of their most recognised projects, entitled “Canónigos”, was a cohousing project for young people that was built in Toledo and that has received several architecture awards. This typology was also present in the Vitápolis project, an apartment complex for seniors living together in a co-living.
