The Jury of the Venice Biennale, along with the director and presediente of this, Rem Koolhaas and Paolo Baratta respectively, announced the winners in the category pavilions National Participation and Research Projects awarded.
The winners were selected according to the jury, to show the public the importance of the Biennale in the context of producing and sharing knowledge about modernity; showing as an important event for the discovery of new areas of influence in the architectural world.

The jury noted the proposal for "revealing a critical chapter in the history of the global circulation of modernity, focusing towards an essential element of modern architecture. A prefabricated concrete panel that manages to critically highlight the role of architectural elements in different ideological and political contexts. "

GOLDEN LION - PHYLLIS LAMBERT
As pointed out by the Press Release of the Biennial, "He is recognized internationally for its continuing contribution to the advancement of contemporary architecture, and its concern for social problems of urban conservation and the role of architecture in the public realm".
Paolo Baratta, President of the Venice Biennale and Rem Koolhaas, director of the Architecture Biennale, explained his decision:
"Not only as an architect, but also as a customer and guardian, Phyllis Lambert has made a great contribution to architecture. Without their participation, one of the few achievements of the 20th century representing perfection on earth - the Seagram Building in New York - would not have happened. His creation of the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal combines a unique vision with uncommon generosity to preserve crucial episodes heritage of architecture and study in ideal conditions. Architects make architecture; Phyllis Lambert did architects ... "
